Crawling Insects
Roaches

Cockroaches thrive in home environments, spreading diseases like salmonella poisoning. They hide during the day in cracks, beneath appliances, around garbage or near moisture (bathrooms). Roaches enter your house on second-hand furniture, grocery bags, corrugated boxes or migrate from sewers.
Since roaches can survive on tiny amounts of food, keep living areas free of food scraps. Clean up garbage and empty cat litter regularly. Do not leave pet food out overnight. Fix leaking pipes and faucets. Plug cracks leading to kitchen and bathroom with a caulking material. If serious infestations persist, roaches may be entering from adjacent buildings (apartments) where the problem is not being treated. Treatment of the entire building may be necessary.
